We are privileged that Michael was a really treasured friend over very many years. Together with Christine we enjoyed many holidays and trips together. Michael was so very talented :- fixer of many things, rescuer from disasters with huge expertise. But above all he was full of Christian spirit, generous to a fault and full of fun. Greatly missed.

You were the BEST dad in the world. You taught me so much. The times I spent sitting waiting in your audio visual cupboard for a lift home. Watching you help others by setting up recordings and tv’s.
The hours we spent together cleaning and washing and fixing the cars. What about the time we swapped engines over in my old 4x4 whilst enjoying a cup of tea and a sneaky snickers bar! I Loved that…
You were always on hand to help us and other people at the drop of a hat, and that’s what I loved about you!
You made dreams come true for me, you made my first and second house into cosy homes! You and your DIY skills were just immense. Thank you!!
I know you loved mum more than anything, and that I know from what I witnessed and saw.
I loved watching you and Mum go off on your adventures around the world, you always looked happy..
You were THE BEST Grandad EVER to Sam and Oskar. You did so much with them. Thank you.
You are my world and always will be. I miss you so much.
You are out of sight, but forever in my heart dad.. one day we will all meet again…
You are my world, you are my everything!
Time to rest now, sleep well my wonderful pops!
I love you dad, always and forever. Lisa XxxX

When I think of Dad there are lots of things that come to mind: Swarfega; cut up knuckles from chisels and other hardware; his sense of humour; his pride in his kids and grand-kids; his love and devotion to mum.
Dad was never one to turn down a cry for help and was always a Mr Fixit. The amount of times he'd be off helping friends and colleagues with DIY projects at weekend or during school holidays. His inventory of useful bits and bobs is legendary.
After his retirement I was glad to see him go off to explore the world with mum. His eyes would light up when he told me about where he'd been and what he's seen.
I am so thankful for all of his time spent with us in New Zealand. My tumble-dryer is on the garage wall because of him.
We will treasure all of the fun times we had over the years and the skills and work ethic that you've instilled in us kids.
I miss you so much but I also know that you've got to rest sometime and the last few years were really tough.
Now is the time to rest in peace.
We'll love you forever x x x
